Big Awards up for 2013 CRA Champions in Late Model Sportsman and Street Stocks

Salem, IN (September 12, 2012) - While some of the closest point’s races are still underway for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and the CRA Street Stocks, officials are already looking to the future for both divisions. CRA officials announced today that the 2013 champion in their Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman division will win an all-expense paid ride in a select ARCA/CRA Super Series event. The 2013 Champion in the CRA Street Stocks will receive an all-expense paid ride in an event on the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance. Both these awards will be in addition to the other standard point fund awards the champions will receive.

For CRA, the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and CRA Street Stocks build a natural progression through racing with CRA. According to CRA's Glenn Luckett, "We have successfully moved racers through the divisions over the years. While racing with CRA they get exposure to the top series and teams, and become comfortable with making that next step, or getting recognition by racing on the same card."

In addition to announcing these rides for the champions, CRA officials are working on some other key announcements for next season, to be made at a later date. Besides some quality scheduling decisions, officials are also looking at a few ways to make it less expensive for new teams to get involved with the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman.

"This is an exciting time for the Top Speed Fabrication CRA Late Model Sportsman and CRA Street Stocks with their incredibly tight point’s battle," Luckett noted, "and we thought it would be a good time to let everyone know we were not sitting still with these divisions, and we have some great things planned for them for the future."
