Depends on tranny and your motor. I change rear gears between the tracks, but some guys dont.

Like Howie said it all depends on several things. What do you have for a bottom end and top end? What size track you going to run, what size tire you going to run. What is the gearing on your tranny? At New Paris there is some that swear by the 738 final and some that swear by the 700 final. At Angola with a very good engine a 659 works real well. So see it all depends on what u have.

Everyone uses a 214 trans and at
np 327, 345if you like rpms

plymouth 308, 327if you like rpms

baerfield 308,327if you like rpms

Angola say as baer and ply

Mottville same as np

Southbend same as np

But there are about 5 guys that run a 214 and 327 and never change gears and kill the comp at all these tracks so its up to you

i like the 214 and 327 but i have ran a 197 with 373 and it worked out real good.thats at new paris and they were not the same motors one had more power than the other.the best thing is take what these guys tell you and try it if its not what your looking for try another gear set up.we changed gears and tranny for three weeks in a row to try to find more power and i wound up going back to the gear that was in it but you might find something you like thats what practice is for try them all lol

In the technical section at http://www.powerbyace.com there is a final drive ratio chart for many of the trans ratios and rear axle ratios.
